Who it is for
- Enterprise network engineers preparing for the Cisco CCNP Enterprise Certification (350-401 ENCOR).
- Practitioners who need practice with dual-stack architecture, virtualization, campus and WAN infrastructure, network assurance, security, and automation.
What this exam covers
- Architecture — 15%
- Virtualization — 10%
- Infrastructure — 30%
- Network Assurance — 10%
- Security — 20%
- Automation and Artificial Intelligence — 15%
What you will practice
- Explain enterprise campus and WAN design, high availability, Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN and Cisco SD-Access, and interpret QoS configurations.
- Describe hypervisors, virtual machines, and virtual switching, and configure VRF, GRE, and IPsec while explaining LISP and VXLAN.
- Troubleshoot trunking, EtherChannel, and spanning tree, compare EIGRP and OSPF, configure OSPFv2/v3 and eBGP, and operate NTP, NAT/PAT, FHRP, and multicast.
- Diagnose issues with debugs, ping, traceroute, SNMP, and syslog, and configure Flexible NetFlow, SPAN, IPSLA, NETCONF, and RESTCONF.
- Configure device access control and AAA, apply ACLs and CoPP, and describe REST API security, TrustSec, and MACsec.
- Interpret Python and JSON, describe YANG and Catalyst Center APIs, construct an EEM applet, and compare agent and agentless orchestration.
About this practice exam
The Cisco CCNP Enterprise Certification exam tests a candidate’s knowledge of implementing core enterprise network technologies, including dual-stack (IPv4 and IPv6) architecture, virtualization, infrastructure, network assurance, security, and automation. This practice exam prepares you for Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise, Implementing Cisco Enterprise Network Core Technologies (350-401 ENCOR) v1.2, across those six official domains.
The exam emphasizes practical skills for explaining enterprise design and high availability, describing Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN and Cisco SD-Access, interpreting QoS, configuring VRF, GRE, and IPsec, troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 infrastructure including OSPF, EIGRP, and eBGP, diagnosing networks with NetFlow, SPAN, and IPSLA, applying device access control, ACLs, and CoPP, and using Python, JSON, YANG, REST APIs, and EEM. It does not primarily assess CCNP Enterprise concentration exams such as advanced routing, design, SD-WAN operations, or wireless specializations, CCIE lab-style full-scale implementation, or associate-only CCNA fundamentals as the main objective.
The official Cisco CCNP Enterprise core exam, Implementing Cisco Enterprise Network Core Technologies (350-401 ENCOR) v1.2, is 120 minutes. This independent practice exam is not the official test; the bank covers the official CCNP Enterprise core domains and their published weights.
The certification validates understanding of:
- Architecture: 2-tier, 3-tier, fabric, and cloud designs; high availability including redundancy, first hop redundancy protocols (FHRP), and stateful switchover (SSO); Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN and Cisco SD-Access control and data planes; and quality of service (QoS) configurations.
- Virtualization: hypervisor type 1 and 2, virtual machines, and virtual switching; virtual routing and forwarding (VRF), generic routing encapsulation (GRE), and IPsec tunneling; Locator/ID Separation Protocol (LISP) and Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN).
- Infrastructure: 802.1Q trunking, EtherChannel, Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) and Multiple Spanning Tree (MST) with root guard and BPDU guard; Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) comparison, OSPFv2/v3, external Border Gateway Protocol (eBGP), and policy-based routing; Network Time Protocol (NTP) and Precision Time Protocol (PTP), network address translation (NAT/PAT), Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP) and Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP), and multicast protocols including Protocol Independent Multicast Sparse Mode (PIM SM) and Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP).
- Network Assurance: debugs, traceroute, ping, Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), and syslog; Flexible NetFlow; Switched Port Analyzer (SPAN), Remote SPAN (RSPAN), and Encapsulated Remote SPAN (ERSPAN); IP Service Level Agreement (IPSLA); Cisco Catalyst Center traditional and AI-powered workflows; Network Configuration Protocol (NETCONF) and RESTCONF.
- Security: device access control including lines, local authentication, and authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA); access control lists (ACLs) and control plane policing (CoPP); REST API security; threat defense, endpoint security, next-generation firewall, Cisco TrustSec, and MACsec.
- Automation and Artificial Intelligence: Python components and scripts, JSON-encoded files, YANG data modeling, APIs for Cisco Catalyst Center and SD-WAN Manager, REST API response codes, Embedded Event Manager (EEM) applets, and agent versus agentless orchestration tools.
