What you will practice
- Apply OSPFv2/v3, MP-BGP, PIM, and FHRP, switching with RSTP+, LACP, and vPC, VXLAN EVPN overlay, ACI fabric and VMM, and monitor with NetFlow, SPAN, and Cisco Nexus Dashboard.
- Implement Cisco UCS rack servers and blade chassis, explain UCS-X in Intersight Managed Mode, and monitor with SPAN and Cisco Intersight.
- Implement Fibre Channel fabric services including zoning, VSAN, NPV, and NPIV, and describe NFS and iSCSI storage.
- Implement EEM, NX-API, and on-box Python, evaluate Ansible, Terraform CLI, POAP, Cisco Nexus Dashboard, and Intersight, and describe high-performance AI network enabling technologies.
- Apply AAA and RBAC across network, compute, and storage, and configure ACI contracts, microsegmentation, MACsec, first-hop security, port security, and fabric binding.
About this practice exam
The Cisco CCNP Data Center Certification exam tests a candidate’s knowledge of implementing core data center technologies, including network, compute, storage network, automation, and security. This practice exam prepares you for Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Data Center, Implementing Cisco Data Center Core Technologies (350-601 DCCOR) v1.2, across those five official domains.
The exam emphasizes practical skills for applying OSPFv2 and OSPFv3, MP-BGP, PIM, and first hop redundancy protocols (FHRP); switching with Rapid Spanning Tree Plus (RSTP+), Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP), and virtual PortChannel (vPC); overlay with Virtual Extensible LAN Ethernet VPN (VXLAN EVPN); applying Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) fabric setup, access policies, and Virtual Machine Manager (VMM); implementing Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) rack and blade systems and UCS-X in Intersight Managed Mode; implementing Fibre Channel including zoning, virtual SAN (VSAN), N-Port Virtualization (NPV), and N-Port ID Virtualization (NPIV); describing NFS and iSCSI; using Embedded Event Manager (EEM), NX-API, Python, Ansible, Terraform CLI, Cisco Nexus Dashboard, and Cisco Intersight; and applying authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA), role-based access control (RBAC), ACI contracts, MACsec, port security, and fabric binding. It does not primarily assess CCNP Data Center concentration exams such as Designing Cisco Data Center Infrastructure, Troubleshooting Cisco Data Center Infrastructure, Implementing Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure, Automating Cisco Data Center Networking Solutions, or Implementing Cisco Data Center AI Infrastructure, CCIE Data Center lab-style full-scale implementation, or associate-only CCNA fundamentals as the main objective.
The official Cisco CCNP Data Center core exam, Implementing Cisco Data Center Core Technologies (350-601 DCCOR) v1.2, is 120 minutes. This independent practice exam is not the official test; the bank covers the official CCNP Data Center core domains and their published weights.
The certification validates understanding of:
- Network: OSPFv2 and OSPFv3, Multiprotocol Border Gateway Protocol (MP-BGP), Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM), and FHRP; RSTP+, LACP, and vPC; VXLAN EVPN overlay; ACI fabric setup, access policies, and VMM; unicast, multicast, and broadcast packet flow; NIST 800-145 cloud service and deployment models; disruptive and nondisruptive software updates, electronic programmable logic device (EPLD) images, and patches; network configuration management; infrastructure monitoring with NetFlow, Switched Port Analyzer (SPAN), and Cisco Nexus Dashboard; streaming telemetry; and Nexus Dashboard capabilities.
- Compute: Cisco Unified Compute System rack servers and blade chassis including initial setup, infrastructure, network, storage, and server management; UCS-X in Intersight Managed Mode; firmware and software updates on blade and rack servers; compute backup and restore; and infrastructure monitoring with SPAN and Cisco Intersight.
- Storage Network: Fibre Channel switch fabric initialization, port channels, Fibre Channel ID (FCID), Cisco Fabric Services (CFS), zoning, Fibre Channel Name Server (FCNS), device alias, NPV and NPIV, and VSAN; NFS and iSCSI storage concepts; disruptive and nondisruptive software updates and EPLD; and infrastructure monitoring with SPAN and Cisco Nexus Dashboard.
- Automation and Artificial Intelligence: EEM, scheduler, Bash Shell and Guest Shell for NX-OS, REST API with NX-API plus JSON and XML encodings, and on-box Python; Ansible, Python, PowerOn Auto Provisioning (POAP), Cisco Nexus Dashboard, PowerShell, Terraform CLI, and Cisco Intersight; and high-performance network enabling technologies for AI in data center infrastructure.
- Security: network AAA and RBAC, ACI contracts and microsegmentation, first-hop security features, keychain authentication, and MACsec; compute AAA and RBAC; and storage AAA and RBAC, port security, and fabric binding.
